      How to Become a Retail Security Officer 

      In the UK, to become a Retail Security Officer, you must first complete either the SIA Door Supervisor Training Course or the SIA Security Guard Training Course.

      Once you have successfully completed either course and have passed your exams, it is time to apply for your SIA Licence. You must have a valid SIA Licence before you can work in the Security Industry as a Retail Security Officer. 

      How Much do you Earn as a Retail Security Officer?

      The average wage of a Retail Security Officer can vary depending on experience, seniority and the company that you are working for. 

      Typically, this ranges anywhere from ยฃ9.00 to ยฃ12.00 hourly.

      • Provide Customer Service when Necessary 
      • Handle Crisis and Emergency Situations with Confidence
      • Ensure all Safety and Emergency Procedures are followed.
