For Beau, working the doors means sometimes dealing with highly volatile situations that escalate in seconds. He has to be constantly scanning the crowd, looking for any signs of trouble before they spiral out of control.
During one of his shifts, things took a dangerous turn very quickly.
“I saw a girl, drunk and out of control, pull out a screwdriver and start threatening people while shouting racist comments. She was at a point where she might have hurt someone or herself.“
This was a pivotal moment in Beau’s career where he truly felt the weight of being a security officer and intervening in potentially dangerous situations.

“I had to act fast, so I stopped her and managed to take the screwdriver away before anyone got hurt.”
In moments like that, Beau’s training kicked in, knowing there was no time to hesitate. His main priority was ensuring the safety of everyone in the vicinity, including the girl herself. He moved in quickly, de-escalated the immediate threat, and safely disarmed her. It’s intense work, but knowing he prevented a potential tragedy is exactly why Beau does this job.
Beau’s takeaway? Quick thinking and decisive action save lives. Always be prepared to step in when the safety of others is on the line.
