For Femi Nwanaike, working at large events is demanding, both physically and mentally.
He’s constantly on his feet, scanning the crowds, and dealing with a massive influx of people who all need something different. It can be exhausting, but he finds it incredibly rewarding when he sees the bigger picture of what he’s doing.

At the end of the day, when we have a big event and so many people need help, supervision, and direction, it gives me immense pleasure helping them.”
Femi believes that the core of this job isn’t just about enforcement; it’s about customer service and guidance. When thousands of people are relying on him to keep them safe and point them in the right direction, he realises how vital his role is.
That feeling of satisfaction when an event runs smoothly, and everyone goes home happy, is exactly why he puts on the uniform.
Femi’s takeaway? Security is fundamentally about helping people. Approach every interaction with a mindset of service, and the job becomes deeply fulfilling.
