Who is this course for?

How the Personal Licence course exam works
What you need before you book
The APLH course has just 2 entry requirements:

Age: you must be 18 or older.

Right to work: you must have the legal right to work in the UK.
That’s it. No previous qualifications and no bar experience needed.
To sit the online exam, you’ll need:

A laptop or PC with a camera, so the invigilator can see you.

Stable internet for the full 90 minutes.

Photo ID to confirm it’s you sitting the exam.

A quiet, private space where you won’t be disturbed.
What happens after you pass
Once you pass, apply to your local council for your Personal Licence with your certificate and a basic DBS check. Councils typically reach a decision in ~4 weeks, depending on your local authority.
