Job ready within 3 to 6 weeks

Who is this course for?

Door supervisors keep people safe. On busy nights and at big events, they're the reason things stay friendly and everyone gets home fine. Few jobs let you make that kind of difference from day one.

If you want work with real responsibility, where people trust you to handle the moments that matter, this course is where it starts.

The role asks you to:

  • Chevron Flash Keep an eye on the crowd and capacity
  • Chevron Flash Read the room and step in early
  • Chevron Flash Stay calm when everyone around you isn't
  • Chevron Flash Defuse trouble with just your words
  • Chevron Flash Be the one people count on when it matters

Door Supervisor vs Security Guard: what's the difference?

Door Supervisor licence

Covers both
  • Chevron Flash Pubs, clubs and venues serving alcohol
  • Chevron Flash Events and festivals
  • Chevron Flash All standard guarding work — sites, retail, corporate

Security Guard licence

  • Chevron Flash Standard guarding work — sites, retail, corporate
  • × Not valid for venues that serve alcohol
If you want to work where alcohol is served, the law requires a Door Supervisor licence.
That flexibility is why most employers hire door supervisors over security guards.

What the course covers

Day 1 to 2

Working in private security

The law, your powers and your responsibilities. When something goes wrong, you are the one who knows what to do.

Day 3

Working as a door supervisor

Licensing law, search procedures and drugs awareness. A venue runs safe because the person on the door knows this.

Day 4

Conflict management

Reading a room, stepping in early and talking trouble down. Most nights, your voice is the only tool you need.

Day 5

Physical intervention

Safe, legal restraint and disengagement, trained on your feet. For the rare moments when talking is not enough, you are ready.

Day 6

Exams and results

Multiple-choice exams with results the same day. You walk out qualified, with the licence application ready to go.

Bonus

Skills you keep for life

Reading a room, defusing conflict and staying calm under pressure. The course trains you for the door, but these follow you everywhere.
