As a Mobile Security Supervisor, you will be assigned to a specific location to ensure the safety and security of that place. A large part of your role also involves training junior security officers. As a supervisor, you may also be responsible for the team’s development ensuring that they are up to date on the latest training techniques. The responsibility of ensuring that a team is a well-oiled machine, ready to respond and make sure that their assignment is secure will fall on your shoulders. However, you will not be expected to be solely responsible for the members’ growth and development as in most instances you will work as part of a larger team of Mobile Security Supervisors.

How to become a Mobile Security Supervisor

While experience in security is highly regarded in this role you must also complete the required licenses to be able to get the job.

Two licenses are required for this position. They are the SIA Door Supervisor License or Security Guard License. Both of these licenses will equip you with the skills that you need to properly carry out the duties of a Mobile Security Officer. They will help you learn how to manage your staff and teach you the latest techniques in security management.

Course cost

The general security guard course is a four-day course and costs £179.99.

The SIA door supervisor license is a six-day course that also features multiple-choice exams as well as practical assessments. The training for the license starts at £199.99. For only an extra £20 and two days, we think it’s best to cover your bases and be licensed for venues and positions which involve the sale of alcohol. This way you can be posted to a wider variety of assignments which could mean more cash for you.

There is also a license fee to pay after training of £190.00 and it is valid for three years.

Mobile Security Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with the training, growth and development of the team that you have been assigned to

Implement training schedules and deal with conflicts as they arise between members of the team

As a team leader, you will sort out any problems that may arise on the job and answer for officers who may not follow directives as given by the client

Handle logistics such as shift replacements when team members or have emergencies

Following training for this role, you will be equipped with the skills to:
