The CCTV Course is a 3-day training program that teaches you how to legally monitor security cameras and work in a control room. Completing this course allows you to apply for an SIA CCTV Licence, which is required to work as a CCTV operator in the UK.

This SIA-recognised 3-day course teaches you how to view, record and store CCTV footage. It'll also train you to be a proactive CCTV Operator who can prevent crime - awesome!

There is no official maximum age limit to work in security. As long as you can meet the physical and mental demands of the job, you can work in the industry. No, GCSEs are not required to become a CCTV Operator. However, you must complete an SIA-approved CCTV operator training course and obtain an SIA licence to work legally in the UK.

 

You’ll need an SIA CCTV Operator licence, which requires completing a regulated CCTV operator training course. Depending on the role you’re applying for, you may also be asked to complete additional training courses, such as the security guard training course or door supervisor course.
